Out For The Day With My Girl

Today meeting some mummies for dim sum lunch at Meritius Mandarin Pine Court, due to number of mummies turning up are low, so venue changed to 'Char Chan Teng' at basement2.

Initial plan were lunch then go Taka baby fair. However, I am earlier by 1 1/2 hour, so I do my shopping first, then lunch. Walked few rounds yet to spot any, there were nothing worthwhile for me to grab, so disappointed! Some mummy commented, is a baby fair not baby sale, so don't expect much. One thing that I like was there was no crowd, especially during weekday's morning.

I have collected some information but don't know how true it is for the bumbo baby seat.

Audrey: "May I know what and why makes the bumbo seat discolouration?"
Promoter: "Is due to contact on the surface. Most of the discolouration area is the inner part."
Audrey: "So what is the lifespan for the bumbo?"
Promoter: "5 years, and depends the usage."

I find myself asking some silly question but still coming out from my mouth,
"Why a sudden the price so much cheaper then before?"
Promoter: "Is due to the currency exchange. US currency drop so the price drop.", but hubby disagreed.
Audrey: "Thanks!"

Selling price for the bumbo baby seat is $49.90, really is a good price to grab! Really can't resist on buying and tempted to those lovely bumbo on the shelf. With second thoughts, I will still prefer to go for a 2nd hand bumbo seat, managed to get one with condition rated as 9/10, selling at $35 without try.

Bumbo Seat Trial

Thanks to one of the mummy offers her little gal's bumbo seat for Enya to try. Pay her a visit after meet up with my friends for lunch at Woodlands Causeway Point.

I had heard a lot of good things about this bumbo seat, and on it's website claim that their product won all these awards. It's pretty cool!

Here she is, sitting on the bumbo seat happily! She looks so funny in it and makes both mummies laugh and laugh so much.



I was surprised that she could sit up in this on her own. I took another photo of her with Raeann while she was still sitting in it!

Bumbo Baby Seat? Buy Or Not To Buy?

When I first saw the Bumbo Baby Seat in one of the warehouse back in year 2005, I was not at all excited. After all, we already bought a high chair and a bouncing chair. Moreover, was not cheap at that moment, selling price for a Bumbo seat at $99, if I am not wrong, therefore hesitated to buy!


Well, after so many years, here comes the Bumbo Baby Seat again! All the while I have doubts on buying it or not to buy the Bumbo seat. After viewing the photos again and again, reading from others comment, influence by mummies from the thread, now I am so tempted to buy, especially could not resist the cheerful and creative design!

Lunch At Sizzler

This week, we had our lunch at Sizzler, TPY. I think this has become a regular event for mummies to meet up, to share our happiness, joy, laughter, experience and thoughts. We really had a good time!

Total of 7 beautiful mummies attended the lunch session, from left to right, we have Audrey (that's me), Pei, FengPing, Jac, Rose, Karen and Laurel. Not to forget to thank Mr. Ow (Jac's hubby), helping us to take this photo.

Today is a Fish Friday, there were promotion for adding $1 to your Salad Bar Meal for a choice of Grilled or Battered Dory. Here is the price spent per person $14.99 (Salad Bar) + $1 + 7% (GST) + 10% (Service Charge) = $18.71!

We left Sizzler at about 2:00pm, then Pei and I went Kiddy Palace, she is looking for caterpillar (Baby Counting Pal® Plush) but end up she didn't buy.

This is the caterpillar that most of the mummies from our thread crazy for. I am tempted to buy as well, the caterpillar just so lovely and cute! Mmm... ... Maybe should invest one!

After finished window shopping, heading to my place to have Mikaela's head shave, not her whole head, only some touch up! This is what I can recall, she behave well, sitting on her mummy's lap while I shave her head without crying! Phew! Within 10 minutes, everything done! Good girl, Mikaela!

Here she is with a new look! This is my first time seeing her out from her mummy's carrier, and stays awake.

4YO Assessment

Today Wayne had an appointment at TPY Polyclinic for his 4 years old assessment. We waited in front of room 49 after the queue number given.

First thing that I am concern about is how he feels toward the assessment. A wonder look on his face while entering to room 49 when our queue number was called. He was very quiet and nervous at that moment, maybe he saw a familiar face (the same nurse that give him all the injection). After nurse promises to give him bear sticker, then he is more willingly to cooperate and talk to her.

She goes through with me the entire question from his health booklet. Next, she took out some color box to test the color blindness then follow with the squint Eye test. I just create similar pattern using ms paint with my limited skill. Haha… …

Lastly was the eye examination. He sits on a little chair facing a mirror with reflection of the eye test chart. When comes to the last row, he has difficulty to read the letter. Nurse advises me to shorten the time on TV and PC game for him.

14 Weeks 1 Day Old

This is the day Enya needs to go for her 3 months assessment. She passes all the assessment and had her 1st 5 in 1 jab. The most important that there were no fever triggers for the day.

Milestone tracking:

1. Touches her own hands together.




2. Can lift her chest up and head while on his tummy and keep it up steadily.
- She has improvement a lot in head control.




3. Rolling over
- During tummy time, she starts to rock back and forth, kicking her feet. She even could flip from front to back, gradually not the fast rolling over!












4. Social smile.
- Whoever interact with her, she will smile back.

5. Recognizes my face and voice.
- She gives me a smile when she sees me and will turn toward my direction when she hear my voice.

6. Able to grasps Sophie in hand for few seconds.
7. Visually tracks moving objects.
8. Turns toward loud sounds.
9. Squeals, gurgles, coos.
10. Blows bubbles.

After everything done, left Polyclinic at about 9:45am then sent Wayne back to his school. There were National day celebration, luckily we managed to get there in time.

Next stop, we had our breakfast at Delifrance! Oh, is having brunch, having our late breakfast! hohoho... ... Yummy, is my favourite tuna croissant. But after seeing the price from the receipt, it really gives me a shock and I have lost all my appetite! I think they had another adjustment on the price, so expensive now! Really have to think twice if happen to dine-in again. So sad!

What Is That Sound?

I have to put this down before I forget, she so cute!

It just happened this early morning. Some noise awakes me while I am sleeping.

What's that sound?

I have no idea how long this sound has been going, but the sounds were from Enya. She was facing towards my direction at her cot, looking at me. She is calling her mummy, that's me! She is so adorable! She has her own way to make sound in order to call for attention!

I can't find any words to describe how I feel at that moment, but I feel so touch and happy. I just get out from the bed, walk towards her and pick her up! Holding her in my arm and really don't want to put her down. Mummy loves you so much!

Fly Swatter 苍蝇拍

Where: At the dining table

While we are having our dinner just now, I saw a housefly and most disgusting was it nearly fly onto our food. So I use my hand to chase away the fly. Suddenly I hear my boy says something, this really caught my ear where I need a second to think about it.

This is what Wayne says, "Use '苍蝇拍', to kill the flies!" Then his Chinese has a little angmo accent, sound so funny but I love to hear it! Hahaha... ... He starts to use and adding Chinese words to converse with us now!

Now then I realise that my boy has grown up without noticing it! Wayne, you didn't a good job!

Upgraded To M

At last and finally used up all the S size diapers! I am so glad to see this, as no more S size diapers in the store room! Hurray!

Yes! Enya finished all the S size diapers and from today onwards she is using size M - Huggies Dry for day use and Pampers ActiveBaby for night use.
